Electroless Nickel Plating
Since plastics do not have electrical conductivity like metals, they are first made conductive in order to coat them. The following ways are followed for this.
Pre-Eroding
The pre-eroding bath is used to break the butadiene bonds in ABS. It contains chromic acid and sulfuric acid as content. It operates between 62-68 ° C.
Activation
It is a solution used to place Sn + 2 and Pd2 + ions in butadiene bonds that are broken as a result of etching. Create a tin and palladium film layer on the abrasive surface.
Electroless Nickel Plating
It is used for nickel plating without using electric current. As a result of the autocatalytic effect of plated nickel ions, chemical reduction is obtained.
Corrosion and abrasion resistance is very high and equal micron plating thickness is obtained at every point regardless of the piece shape. Two types of electroless nickel solutions are used in our company.
Hot Electroless Nickel (sulphate content) ~ 55-60 ° C
Cold Current Free Nickel(chloride content) ~30 - 40 ° C
